The shop

Richard and Patricia Cowell fabricated the first Cowell loadbearing vest in 1979 for [ county ] deputies. In 2005 the company moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where Matt and Julieann Cowell own and run it today. Every carrier, vest and pouch is manufactured at our own facility, and we repair and modify our carriers for as long as they are in service.
