Departments

Wear one before
you order

We have kept sample carriers available for departments to wear for years. Put one on an officer, on shift, before your department spends an armor budget with us. We cover shipping both ways.

Ask for a carrier to wear See what is available

Two ways this happens

First

Wear a sample carrier

We keep six to eight sample carriers available at any time. The table below lists the armor each one is built around and the size range it adjusts across, so your department can decide whether one of them will work rather than wait on us to say. Ask for it by number, or tell us your armor and sizes and we will point at the closest match.

Then

Wear carriers built to your spec

Once a department has decided it wants our carrier, or is seriously looking and large enough, we build carriers to your own spec and to your officers' sizes for them to wear before you place the order. Terms are arranged with us directly. [ what counts as large enough, owner to confirm ]

Shipping is covered both ways in either case. There is no purchase order and no card involved, and nothing is invoiced for a carrier that is worn and returned.

How it runs

01

You tell us the armor and sizes

We answer within one business day, either naming a sample that fits somebody in your department or saying what it would take to build one.

02

We ship it out

Ground freight on us, usually out the same week. The carrier arrives with your department's identification panels fitted and a prepaid return label in the box.

03

An officer wears it on shift

Two weeks is the usual window, and it is a working evaluation — patrol, vehicle, vest off and on. Ask and we extend it so more than one officer gets time in it.

04

You tell us what you found

Call the shop, email, or fill in the sheet that ships with the carrier. What the officer wanted changed is where your own spec starts.

05

Order, or send it back

Nothing is invoiced either way. If you order, the sample goes back and your build starts against the spec the evaluation produced.

Departments that need a signed loan agreement for their property records can ask for one and we will send it with the carrier.

What to have the officer check

This list ships with the carrier

A carrier that feels right in the hallway can be wrong by hour six. These are the things officers come back to us about, in the order they usually notice them.

Signed out to your department

We write down which sample went where, who signed for it, the armor it was fitted to, the pouch layout it left with, and its condition on the day. You get the same record by email, so your property officer has it on file too.

Logged when it comes back

Checked in, and what the officer said

The carrier is inspected, cleaned and closed out against the same record, and what the officer wanted changed goes in beside it. That note is why the samples get better every year, and it is where your build spec starts if you order.

Availability changes as samples go out and come back. Samples are cleaned and inspected between departments, and identification panels are swapped for yours. Each carrier adjusts across the range shown. We publish the ranges so you can look down the list, match them against your officers and your armor, and decide yourself whether one of these will tell you what you need to know — then ask for it by number. Armor models, size ranges and loadouts in this table are placeholders until the shop confirms the current samples.

Tell us the armor and the sizes

We reply within one business day, either with a sample that fits somebody in your department or with what it would take to build carriers to your spec. If you already know what you want, configure it in the Loadout Designer and mention that you would like to wear one first.
